Antonio Valverde

Writer, Entrepreneur, and a Restless Soul
Born in Montefrío, a picturesque corner of the province of Granada, Spain, Antonio Valverde Hidalgo is a man who has masterfully blended the sensibility of a writer with the vision of an entrepreneur. His childhood, shaped by the Andalusian landscapes and the murmur of family stories, sowed in him a deep restlessness for words, time, and memory.
At the age of 27, he embarked on an uncommon path: he founded his first company and, with perseverance and passion, built a solid business group that today employs more than 80 people. Yet, far from being satisfied with material achievements, Antonio always felt the call of literary creation—that intimate space where dreams, questions, and memories take shape.
His venture into literature was not a coincidence, but a necessity. Through his works—such as 20 Años Para Abrazarte, Miguel el Pescadero, La Gaviota Sin Ala, Pollito Arcoíris, or Escondido en mi libro he has explored universal themes like childhood, identity, loss, and hope. With a warm, relatable, and profoundly human style, he has been able to touch the souls of his readers, both young and old.

When he publishes a new children's book, many schools invite him to present it to hundreds of children. In these meetings, literature ceases to be mere words on paper and becomes a living, magical experience. The eyes of the little ones sparkle, captivated by every story, and for a few minutes, the classroom transforms into a universe of adventures, emotions, and discoveries. Antonio doesn't just tell them his stories; he conveys the joy of reading, the importance of dreaming, and the infinite power of imagination.
In addition to his role as an author, Antonio has maintained a constant commitment to society. He served as secretary (2017–2018) and later president (2018–2019) of the Rotary Club of Marbella, where he promoted charitable initiatives at both local and international levels. His generous spirit and a vocation for service have led him to participate in numerous projects aimed at improving the lives of others.
A frequent speaker, he combines his business, personal, and literary experiences to inspire others to follow their passions and never give up. He firmly believes that true success is not measured by what one possesses, but by what one leaves in the hearts of those around them.
With every page he writes, Antonio opens a window into worlds where imagination and emotion go hand in hand. For him, writing is an act of love, a form of eternity.
And as he often says:
"I write to remember that we were here. That we loved. That we dreamed. And that we never stopped believing."
